Strategies
A strategy is the set of rules a backtest or a bot follows: when to enter, when to exit and how each trade is protected. You build it by describing it to Jarvis, and every save keeps a new version.
What a strategy holds
- its direction and its timeframe;
- entry and exit conditions for long and short trades, in groups of ALL of (AND) or ANY of (OR);
- a stop loss, which every strategy must have, and its take profit, trailing stop and cooldown when it uses them.
The Strategy page shows the rules in plain words. Indicators & rules explains what a condition can use.
Versions
Each save creates a new version. Open a strategy to read any of its versions and the differences between two of them. A bot runs one version: when you save a newer one, you review the changes and choose whether the bot adopts it.
Limits of your plan
How large a strategy can be (conditions, nesting depth, indicator lookback) depends on your plan. See the plan comparison.
