Paper trading

Paper trading runs your bots with virtual USDT on live market prices, so you can practise a strategy without risking money. It needs no exchange key.

How it works

  • Paper bots use the same engine as live bots, with the chosen exchange's live data and rules (fees, order sizes, leverage).
  • You have one paper balance, on the Live page under Paper. Each paper bot takes its allocation from it while it runs, and its profit and loss flow back to it.
  • Change or reset the paper balance on the Live page, up to 1,000,000 USDT. After a change or a reset the balance cannot change again for 24 hours, so paper money feels real.
  • When you ask Jarvis for a paper bot without naming an amount, it proposes 10,000 USDT, unless you set a paper starting balance in Settings › Trading & risk. You can always ask for another amount.
  • Your account limits in Settings › Trading & risk also apply to the paper balance.
  • Paper trades appear in Results with the same details as live trades.

When the strategy behaves as you expect, take the bot live: see Trading bots.
